The CTBTO at times seeks an individual, consulting firm or organization to provide additional expertise for tasks that are required on a temporary basis. A consultant usually contributes to high priority activities in the work programme of a Division or Section of the CTBTO.
The length of a consulting assignment depends on the project to be accomplished. It is normally not longer than six months. Every consultant is required to sign an agreement which defines the terms and conditions of the consultancy prior to taking up the assignment.
Individuals and institutions with expertise in areas of relevance to the work programme of the CTBTO, such as seismology, geophysics, computer science, accounting, finance, human resource management or law, and who are available to work as consultants, are encouraged to complete a Personal History Form accompanied by a letter of interest. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
