CTBT Educational Resources
The Next Generation
CTBT education activities and resources focus on building and maintaining the necessary awareness and capacity in the technical, scientific, legal and political aspects of the Treaty and its verification regime.
By offering specialized education courses and utilizing online learning and new media, the CTBTO is expanding the pool of expertise beyond the traditional stakeholders and increasing active engagement on the critical issues underpinning the Treaty. Moreover, CTBT educational courses and e-learning activities provide enhanced opportunities for the wider community to participate in strengthening and effectively implementing the Treaty and its multilaterally established verification regime.
This approach increases awareness and stimulates understanding of the Treaty in order to promote its entry into force and universalization.
A core element of the CTBTO's educational resources includes a robust and interactive e-learning platform, that features issue specific modules, quizzes and other Treaty-related resources. All open CTBT courses are live streamed and archived for online viewing. In addition, the platform provides participants from around the world with a multitude of opportunities for interaction through the online CTBT education community.

The CTBTO would like to highlight the generous contributions provided by the European Union, Austria and the Kingdom of Norway toward the educational and outreach activities of the CTBTO. Without such substantial contributions, these initiatives would not be possible. Through their generous contributions, the European Union, Austria and the Kingdom of Norway demonstrate a shared vision with the CTBTO to train and educate the next generation of experts on the CTBT.
