Objectives:

(1) Provide participants with training, instructions, and experience with the specialized geophysical analysis software Geosoft Oasis Montaj ®

(2) Familiarize future inspectors with technologies and tools to be used during the continuation phase of an on-site inspection (OSI)

 

Language:

The working language of the workshop will be English.
Participants therefore expected to have a good command of both written and oral English.

Participants Profile:

The training programme is intended for

(i) representatives of National Authorities, who are involved in coordinating and managing national activities related to OSI, especially those with experience relevant to the course content,

(ii) technical experts in OSI related technologies, especially in geophysical potential fields, and

(iii) potential inspectors and inspection assistants for the Integrated Field Exercise 2008.

 

Application Procedures:

States Signatories wishing to nominate experts are requested to inform the On-Site Inspection Division of the Provisional Technical Secretariat (PTS) through their Permanent Missions before 1 March 2008.

Candidates selected will be contacted by the PTS and informed about the procedures to be followed with regard to administrative and financial matters.

 
Deadline for Application:

Nominations together with the completed registration form should be submitted to the PTS (see the contact details above) not later than 25 March 2008.  

 

Financial Information:

The PTS will provide the participants with travel and daily subsistence allowance for the duration of the course.
