Objectives
The purpose of the workshop is to present and evaluate the most recent advances in noble gas monitoring technology. The themes of the workshop are:
- Noble gas measurement technologies at IMS stations
- The analysis and interpretation of noble gas data
- Noble gas background measurements to characterize typical xenon detections
- QA/QC and laboratories supporting the noble gas measurements
- New technologies related to the measruement and analysis
- Noble gases in On-Site Inspections
- Atmospheric Transport Modeling
Participants Profile
The workshop is aimed towards all scientists, engineers and other persons involved in Noble Gas measurements related to the verification of the CTBT.
Please be informed that the Provisional Technical Secretariat will solicit presentations and posters from participants on the topics of the Workshop.
Application Procedures
Applicants are requested to complete the registration form and forward it to the Point of Contact by latest 31 August 2012.

Nominees should indicated in the registration form whether they intend to submit a poster or a power-point presentation relevant to the objectives of the Workshop.
States Signatories wishing to nominate experts are requested to inform the Provisional Technical Secretariat (see Point of Contact) through their respective Permanent Mission.

Financial Information
Travel costs, daily subsitence allowance, health insurance, etc. have to be borne by the participants.
Participants from Developing Countries
The Provisional Technical Secretariat will support the travel and daily subsistence allowance for a limited number of participants from developing countries who intend to present an invited presentation or poster that are relevant to the objectives of the Workshop. In this regard, the Provisional Technical Secretariat will make arrangements for issuance of economy flight tiecktes, health insurance and hotel booking for subsidized participants.
Other Pertinent Information
Presentations
Power Point presentation shall not exceed 20 minutes. Posters should be in either A0 or B1 format.
Visas
Participants should apply for visas, if needed, at the corresponding consular office upon receipt of an acceptance Note Verbale from the Provisional Technical Secretariat, in order to ensure timely processing. The Provisional Technical Secretariat will provide personal invitations to visa applicants.
Health/Accident Insurance
It is strongly recommended that prior to departure all participants should acquire heatlh and accident insurance for the duration of the workshop.
