Daniela Rozgonova appointed
Chief of Public Information

Daniela Rozgonova has been appointed Chief of the Public Information Section of the Provisional Technical Secretariat of the Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO PrepCom) as of 4 January. Ms. Rozgonova was, formerly, the first Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Slovak Republic to the United Nations, UNIDO, IAEA, CTBTO PrepCom and OSCE from 1994 to 1998. During this time, from May to December 1997, she was elected Chairperson of the Preparatory Commission. Ms. Rozgonova recently served as Deputy Spokesperson and Director of Public Information of the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo. Prior to this, between 1998 and 1999, Ms. Rozgonova was Director of the United Nations and Specialized United Nations Organizations Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Slovakia. Between 1993 and 1994, she was Director of the Department for Press, Information, Cultural Affairs, National Minorities and Slovaks Living Abroad and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Slovakia. Ms. Rozgonova has also worked in Belgium, Cote d´Ivoire, the Netherlands, Slovakia and the United States as a journalist, public relations specialist and diplomat. In addition to Slovak, she is fluent in Dutch, English, French and German. Ms. Rozgonova has a BA in journalism from Comenius University, Bratislava, Slovakia, and an MA in press and communications sciences from Ghent University, Belgium. She is accredited as a Public Relations Specialist by the Public Relations Society of America.
