Creating knowledge through partnerships,
training, and information/communication

Partnerships of all kinds - between the CTBTO and national data centres, between international and governmental organizations,  between developed and developing countries, between regional stakeholders - are being enhanced by the explosion of opportunities for learning and information sharing empowered by today’s information and communication technologies. Knowledge creation and dissemination via exercises such as controlled experiments and collection/analysis of ground truth data also aid the verification task. Contributions on partnerships and knowledge creation relevant to the CTBT community are sought on topics such as open-source learning, ground truth data sets and experiments, training and capacity development, international and regional data centres, regional cooperation in science and technology, and wider civil use of verification regime (in practice or in principle).  Presentations on prototype projects that could be a model for enhancing participation in the CTBT are also welcomed.
