Gérard Rambolamanana has cooperated with a number of institutes and universities worldwide to develop and improve the national seismic network in Madagascar. He has been involved in the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) in South Africa since 2009 and is in charge of the implementation of AVN/SKA in Madagascar since 2016. When complete, the SKA will be the world's largest and most sensitive radio telescope.
Dr. Rambolamanana has worked closely with the CTBTO since 2011, assisting the Task Leader for Technology Refreshment. Since 2016, he has served as one of the Task Leaders of Technology Refreshment. He has co-chaired related meetings at the organization’s Working Group B Sessions and also served as a member of the steering committee on preparations for the CTBT Science and Technology conference in 2013.
