The working language of the workshop will be English.

An educational background in physics or geophysics is required, including experience in the handling of seismic, hydroacoustic or infrasound data. Experience with UNIX operating system and SQL would be an advantage, as would work experience directly related to the verification of a nuclear test ban. A working knowledge of English is mandatory.
Applications should be submitted to the Provisional Technical Secretariat (PTS) to arrive in Vienna not later than 7 March 2008.

Daily Subsistence Allowance (DSA): at the expense of the PTS.
Travel: at the expense of the PTS.
The course will consist of an orientation period followed by hands-on training. Training will be conducted on the analysis of seismic, hydroacoustic and infrasound data from global networks and on the analysis of gamma-ray spectra from radionuclide particulate and noble gas detectors.
