New web section on workshops and training
A section which provides a comprehensive overview of the training and capacity-building activities, including workshop and information visits, offered by the Provisional Technical Secretariat (PTS) to Member States has been established on the web site. The section, which provides a one-page overview of all opportunities for the calendar year, can be accessed through the left navigation bar, under Opportunities.
Training programmes are designed to build capacities in various verification-related disciplines. Workshops and information visits further Treaty understanding, and contribute to national capacity-building. States which participate benefit from sharing information and exchanging experiences with each other. Participation in the PTS training courses is restricted to Member State nationals. Relevant application guidelines, restrictions on participation, and profiles of potential participants are included in each course description. Proposals for participation must be supported by the Member State concerned.
