We need a Korean Peninsula that is nuclear test-free first, before we move on to a nuclear weapon-free peninsula.

Zerbo was the first speaker at the conference's Session 1 on regional issues, which dealt with the nuclear programmes of Iran and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The conference's theme was “Unfinished Business of Building a More Secure World”. Its other sessions dealt with space security and nuclear security. The conference is organised by the United Nations Regional Centre for Peace and Disarmament in Asia and the Pacific (UNRCPD) and hosted by the government of the Republic of Korea.
